About The Position

First State Insurance Agency is looking for talented and resourceful candidates to fill the role of Employee Benefits Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative will play a critical role on our team and be responsible for administrative tasks to assist our internal teams in delivering first class benefits solutions.

Requirements

• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
• Willingness to pass/maintain Life & Health insurance license
• Strong sense of punctuality & attendance
• High school diploma/GED

• Attain thorough understanding of internal processes and team members responsibilities in order to accurately and effectively provide services to client
• Must have understanding of new case submissions and renewal transitions in order to assist internal team throughout entire process
• Prepares requests for proposals by means of organizing data for quotes and reviewing current plan designs
• Works with Account Manager in reviewing proposal request and obtains additional information needed for quote

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative activities on client accounts including processing enrollments and eligibility changes
• Assist with record keeping and files for clients, including logging activities and documents in agency management system and maintaining client disclosures for group accounts
• Attain thorough understanding of internal processes and team members responsibilities in order to accurately and effectively provide services to client
• Must have understanding of new case submissions and renewal transitions in order to assist internal team throughout entire process
• Prepares requests for proposals by means of organizing data for quotes and reviewing current plan designs
• Works with Account Manager in reviewing proposal request and obtains additional information needed for quote
