About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Analyst to join their growing team in Miami-Dade, FL. The Employee Benefit Analyst’s primary responsibility is to analyze information to create financial deliverables for current and prospective Brown & Brown clients, particularly for large group fully-insured clients as well as those with self-funded benefit programs. The role involves analyzing financial data for clients over 100 lives and those with self-funded programs, preparing analyses according to client service calendars, and acting as a resource for Benefit Producers and Account Executives. The position also requires collaboration with the service team, occasional client meetings, and developing carrier relationships.

Requirements

  • High School degree
  • 2 or more years of employee benefits experience in a similar role
  • Clear knowledge of Group Benefit Plans
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Proficient in Word

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
  • Clear knowledge of CEBS

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial analytics for clients that are over 100 lives, as well as those that are self-funded
  • Prepare analyses in accordance with client service calendar financial meetings.
  • Analyses may include but are not limited to: Market review analysis, Renewal rate and funding projections and modeling, Analysis of claims utilization, Rate and contribution analysis, Benchmarking, Financial funding analysis (e.g. fully insured vs self-funded), Technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements
  • Act as a resource for Benefit Producers and Account Executives to develop strategic plans and solutions for clients and prospects
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure strategic objectives are clearly articulated and proactive solutions are implemented
  • Have occasional client face to face meetings as well as conduct open enrollment meetings
  • Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships
