About The Position

As an Employee Benefits Account Manager, you'll serve as a trusted resource for clients as they navigate their employee benefits programs and insurance needs. Your expertise, responsiveness, and commitment to service will help clients make informed decisions while ensuring they receive exceptional support throughout the year. In this role, you'll partner closely with clients, producers, carriers, and internal team members to deliver proactive account management, benefit education, renewal support, and day-to-day service. You'll play a meaningful role in strengthening client relationships, supporting retention efforts, and helping organizations create valuable benefits experiences for their employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an employee benefits account management or similar client service role.
  • Active Life & Health Insurance license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software applications.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, producers, carriers, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree.
  • Previous experience in customer service, insurance, or employee benefits environments.
  • Experience conducting Open Enrollment meetings or employee education sessions.
  • Knowledge of benefit administration, compliance requirements, and funding arrangements.
  • Experience working with Third-Party Administrators and enrollment platforms.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and industry learning.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technology platforms and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee benefits accounts by providing exceptional service, strategic support, and timely solutions to client needs.
  • Analyze benefit offerings and assist in developing recommendations that align with client goals and workforce needs.
  • Prepare and present renewal materials that help clients make informed benefits decisions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, Third-Party Administrators, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and support Open Enrollment meetings, educational sessions, and client communications.
  • Guide clients through benefit administration, compliance questions, funding options, and enrollment processes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and ongoing account support.
  • Contribute to the success of the client services team by collaborating effectively and supporting departmental initiatives.
