About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits, including fully insured and self-funded plans, and will be responsible for managing mid-to-large market accounts.

Requirements

  • Active Life and Health Insurance License required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits account management.
  • Strong knowledge of fully insured and self-funded plans.
  • Proficiency in Epic software is required.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mid-to-large market accounts is preferred.
  • Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business consisting of 10 groups with 100-1,000 lives, totaling approximately $1.5 million in revenue.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Handle renewals, benefit design, and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and attend client meetings, including open enrollment sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Account Executive and other team members to provide seamless support.
  • Utilize Epic software for account management and documentation.
  • Travel occasionally within the San Jose, San Diego, and Los Angeles areas for client and team engagements.
