About The Position

The Employee Benefits Account Manager executes projects that provide a world-class client experience. This includes marketing and proposal presentations, onboarding, employee communication initiatives, compliance, technology, and a broad range of benefits administrative projects. Candidate should be highly organized, able to self-manage projects, and work closely with colleagues to collaborate on solutions for new clients. This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to our office in Buffalo, NY.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of benefit account management experience.
  • Identifies problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Computer proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel – should be able to learn quickly on HRIS systems and be willing to creatively engage with customer facing and internal technologies.
  • Knowledgeable in COBRA, FSA, HSA and other compliance issues impacting clients.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client-focused attitude.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates client/prospect needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for client activities including marketing, spreadsheeting, client presentations, open enrollments, and benefits technology platform implementations.
  • Maintains high client satisfaction standards.
  • Actively engages with colleagues to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Will assist the new business team with marketing, spreadsheeting, and open enrollment presentations for prospects as needed.
