Starion Insurance is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to support its Employee Benefits division. This role involves delivering high-quality service, coordination, and operational support to clients and internal partners. Requirements

  • Basic understanding of employee benefits concepts (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and task management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to serve as a primary point of contact for clients and partners
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems, including enrollment platforms, carrier portals, and internal tools
  • Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
  • Dependable with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, relationship-focused environment

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or HR support
  • Experience with enrollment platforms such as Employee Navigator and carrier portals
  • Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in a growing environment, with the ability to identify process improvements and support the development of new procedures and service initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and ongoing servicing of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, Medicare-related products, and ancillary benefits.
  • Support pre-sale activities by gathering and validating census data, coordinating required documentation, and assisting with carrier quoting and proposal preparation.
  • Assist with onboarding new benefit clients by coordinating data collection, carrier setup, implementation activities, and internal/external communications.
  • Coordinate and facilitate resolution of day-to-day service requests including eligibility changes, enrollments, terminations, billing questions, and basic claims support.
  • Coordinate annual renewal processes by gathering census updates, preparing materials, and supporting client communications.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, carriers, internal banking partners, and advisors to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify, triage, and escalate complex issues to appropriate internal or external partners.
  • Prepare and deliver client-facing materials including onboarding documents, enrollment communications, and renewal summaries.
  • Support the Senior Employee Benefits Insurance Advisor by preparing meeting materials, coordinating meetings, documenting follow-ups, and tracking action items.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all clients, employees, and plan data across systems and maintain organized documentation to support reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.
