About The Position

Established Insurance agency seeking a detailed-oriented person who demonstrates clear knowledge and understanding of Employee Benefits/Group Health insurance coverages. This role involves managing a book of business, servicing accounts, and working with clients and sales staff to provide optimal insurance solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience handling Employee Benefits Insurance Accounts
  • Experience handling mid-large market accounts (50+ group lives)
  • Ability to meet/w clients and discuss insurance mitigation strategies
  • Experienced with Applied Epic or equivalent agency management system
  • Must hold an active state P&C License
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Full knowledge of insurance products and usages
  • Ability to advise and consult with clients
  • Manage workflow of assigned book of business and delegate workflow
  • Maintain accounts in accordance with organizational guidelines
  • Service and monitor account activity
  • Call existing insured to compliment or “round out” supplemental accounts
  • Work strategically with sales staff to optimize relationships and protect client’s business
  • Perform special projects as directed by the VP, Employee Benefits
  • Review policies and coverage for accuracy and rating calculations
  • Process endorsements, placement requests and invoicing
  • Complete and prepare certificates, proposals, policy summaries and reviews
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our partners, carriers, and vendors
  • Responsible for marketing process & quoting new and renewal business
