About The Position

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is seeking an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist. The role addresses and resolves workplace issues, promotes a positive work environment, and supports compliance with labor laws and regulations. The specialist works closely with management and employees to provide guidance on employee-related matters and contribute to a healthy organizational culture. The position requires knowledge and experience in labor relations, including the ability to interpret labor law and apply it to workplace situations.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or Generalist, emphasizing employee and labor relations.
• Experience in counseling, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of FLSA, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, COBRA, OSHA, CAL/OSHA, and other HR-related regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Complete training on Violence in the Workplace prevention within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources management or a related field.
• Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
