About The Position

The EMP Team Member is responsible for operating with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety in all Extrusion Material Processing.

Requirements

• Trained on forklift and combi lift and can safely and competently operate.
• Knows the yellow tag to blue tag process needed and follows to ensure the material is being blue tagged as needed.
• Can correctly follow a bundle map ID to label each extrusions number.
• Knows the correct orientation to bundle and create racks for specific extrusions.

Responsibilities

• Follow the job instructions provided by the Production Supervisor.
• Loading and unloading items (scrap bins, scrap bundles, spacer carts, and racks) from lines and ovens.
• Understand F.I.F.O. systems and the importance of system maintenance when following first in and first out organization.
• Transporting materials within the facility.
• Immediately inform the team leader or quality department of any visual and/or physical defects in the production product or process.
• Verify proper documentation of all production reports.
• Assist the team leader, maintenance, or QA staff when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform daily scrape inspections and take care when defects are found.
• Complete process audits as specified.
• Perform hourly monitoring of parts produced and oven checks.
• Operate forklift and combi lift safely and competently.
