This position provides engineering support in the planning and implementation of EMI/EMC tests and general EMI/EMC testing activities. The role involves operating test equipment, performing EMI/EMC tests, setting up and conducting tests, and handling pre- and post-test activities such as generating drawings of as-tested configurations, data reduction, and other related tasks. The position also includes troubleshooting test equipment, interfacing with suppliers and maintenance personnel, developing data analysis and post-processing methods (automating where possible), supporting the development of new test system capabilities, and implementing quality measures and process improvements. Additionally, the role involves preparing project reports, presentations, and procedures, performing EMI lab facility maintenance and equipment calibration, participating in pre-test planning, reviewing test documents, preparing and delivering test data packages to the customer, assisting in the development of automated software for EMI/EMC tests, and maintaining a safe work area. The role also provides electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) analysis services for various programs, including design and development review activities.
