This position is a developmental leadership role designed to prepare associates for potential Store Manager opportunities within the Walmart US store operations environment. The Emerging Store Manager (ESM) will train and develop across many areas of store operations, including merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience, and community engagement. The ESM role does not carry any guaranteed timeframe; however, the developmental assignment is expected to last no longer than 12 to 18 months. Associates in this role are expected to maintain mobility within their assigned region for Store Manager application and potential placement. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the store as assigned and/or as necessary.
