About The Position
The Sonoco Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is designed to help individuals develop leadership skills, gain technical knowledge, establish strong business acumen, and understand Sonoco’s culture and processes. This program offers a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities for growth. Participants can expect to gain a better understanding of their leadership style and contribute to Sonoco through valuable project work. This specific ELP role will be part of the Consumer Packaging Americas division, located in the Columbus Operating Center in Columbus, Ohio. The program aims to develop future business leaders within the company, with potential career paths including Plant Manager, Director of Finance, Supply Chain Leader, or Regional Manufacturing Director.
Requirements
- Have or will obtain a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering by December 2026 or May 2027
- Previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or functional area)
- Proven leadership experience
- Desire to work in a Manufacturing environment
- Technical aptitude
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Passion for innovation
- Willingness to go the extra mile
- Open to relocation (immediately or in the future)
- Willing to work rotating or late shifts
- Flexibility in location preferences
