About The Position

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. Responsible for translating agency needs into actionable innovation opportunities and proactively identifying, analyzing, and leading implementation of new technology and processes. Responsible for working with multi-disciplinary teams to identify, assess, scale, and optimize solutions to meet USSTRATCOM and TO goals and objectives. Responsible for delivering impactful innovation services that appropriately pair the right approaches and methods with project size to achieve high-quality outcomes at reasonable cost. Responsible for continuous improvement and reporting on the impacts of innovation on customer experience. Performs analysis of alternatives (AoA), business case analysis (BCA), and market research. Must possess experience in enterprise project management and IT operations support for USAF and DoD IT programs. Must have recent experience implmenting emerging capabilities and infrastructure modernization. Evaluates the impact emerging technology will have on organization capabilities, customer needs, and mission readiness while considering the organization's resources; making decisions based on findings. Develops project plans by identifying problem areas and considering multiple solutions. Provides cost analyses for new/upgrade infrastructure and architecture capabilities, limiting unnecessary spending and working within budgetary constraints. Reviews detailed building and infrastructure design drawings and specification sheets throughout the design process and provide recommendations and required updates from findings. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering methods and tools is highly desirable. A strong Systems Engineering background is necessary to be successful in this role.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience
  • Experience in enterprise project management and IT operations support for USAF and DoD IT programs.
  • Recent experience implementing emerging capabilities and infrastructure modernization.
  • Master Degree in STEM discipline
  • Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • DoD 8140 compliant cyber certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering methods and tools is highly desirable.
  • A strong Systems Engineering background is necessary to be successful in this role.
