Requirements
- Skill level and assessment will determine compensation within the $19–$26/hour range.
- Flexibility required for a mix of day, evening, and overnight hours.
- Must be able to provide compassionate animal handling and restraint, even with challenging patients.
- Must be able to demonstrate calm and efficiency during emergency situations.
- Must be able to provide top-tier customer service with empathy and professionalism.
Nice To Haves
- License application and renewal reimbursement for RVTs.
- Financial support and onsite mentorship for those pursuing VTS certification
Responsibilities
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures, radiographs, and IV setups
- Collecting samples and operating/maintaining laboratory equipment
- Providing compassionate animal handling and restraint, even with challenging patients
- Supporting patient care needs like cleaning, walking, and feeding
- Helping maintain accurate client and patient records, billing, and estimates
- Demonstrating calm and efficiency during emergency situations
- Assisting with client communication, including phone calls, patient updates, and check-ins
- Presenting estimates and processing payments
- Ensuring a clean, welcoming hospital environment (kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, etc.)
- Participating in team rounds to ensure continuity of care
- Providing top-tier customer service with empathy and professionalism
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture
