Requirements

  • Skill level and assessment will determine compensation within the $19–$26/hour range.
  • Flexibility required for a mix of day, evening, and overnight hours.
  • Must be able to provide compassionate animal handling and restraint, even with challenging patients.
  • Must be able to demonstrate calm and efficiency during emergency situations.
  • Must be able to provide top-tier customer service with empathy and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • License application and renewal reimbursement for RVTs.
  • Financial support and onsite mentorship for those pursuing VTS certification

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with diagnostic procedures, radiographs, and IV setups
  • Collecting samples and operating/maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Providing compassionate animal handling and restraint, even with challenging patients
  • Supporting patient care needs like cleaning, walking, and feeding
  • Helping maintain accurate client and patient records, billing, and estimates
  • Demonstrating calm and efficiency during emergency situations
  • Assisting with client communication, including phone calls, patient updates, and check-ins
  • Presenting estimates and processing payments
  • Ensuring a clean, welcoming hospital environment (kennels, treatment areas, exam rooms, etc.)
  • Participating in team rounds to ensure continuity of care
  • Providing top-tier customer service with empathy and professionalism
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture
