Requirements
- Previous veterinary experience required (emergency experience preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with emergency exams, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor hospitalized patients and respond to changes in condition
- Utilize and expand your technical skill set with hands-on responsibilities including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographs, in-house lab work, anesthesia monitoring, and advanced nursing care for emergent and critical patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients during high-stress situations
