About The Position

Animal ER of University Park located in Bradenton, FL is searching for experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team! You are passionate about learning and growth in the veterinary industry and caring for animals. You can easily adapt to the different needs of each patient and are able to remain composed during stressful and emotional situations. Assist with patient care, monitoring, treatments, restraint, and routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecals), maintain inventory and stocking, maintain & sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, clean and disinfect cages, kennels, exam rooms, and treatment areas of hospital, administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision, feed and bathe patients, answer phones and help clients with their pets, and other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years working in veterinary medicine. Prior Emergency experience is prioritized.
  • An understanding of all basic veterinary knowledge, including restraint.
  • Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

Responsibilities
