About The Position

Horizon Veterinary Specialists is seeking a knowledgeable and eager Emergency Veterinarian or Critical Care Veterinarian to join their Emergency & Critical Care Team. This role involves approaching patient care with kindness and dedication, with opportunities for emergency surgery and other aspects of veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, confidence, be detail-oriented and diligent, and possess excellent communication skills, showing kindness and understanding to clients and patients in various emergency situations. Requirements

DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
Valid veterinary license to practice in California.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to client education.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment.

Previous experience in emergency or critical care.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency and critical care services to small animal patients.
Perform emergency surgeries.
Collaborate with other doctors and consult on cases during daily rounds.
Communicate effectively with clients, showing kindness and understanding.
Support walk-in emergencies and referrals from primary veterinarians.
