About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to join their team, providing the medical excellence that BluePearl stands for and that pets and their families deserve. The Fort Lauderdale facility serves east Fort Lauderdale and surrounding Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. This is an 8,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency and specialty facility offering services for Critical Care, Surgery, and Internal Medicine with weekly Cardiology coverage. It features advanced monitoring equipment, long-term and high-frequency ventilators, ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, a 16-slice CT which includes the ability for 3D reconstruction, and a full-service on-site laboratory. The role involves excelling in a dynamic environment, delivering expert care to critically ill or injured pets, utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic tools, and performing life-saving procedures. The veterinarian will contribute to a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team of specialists, making a real impact on the lives of pets and their owners. The position also requires engaging with pet owners compassionately, providing clear communication on medical conditions and treatment plans, and thriving in a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, with an unwavering dedication to exceptional care.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree required
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care
