About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian for their Tacoma, WA location. This role involves delivering outstanding veterinary care with a compassionate heart in a cutting-edge facility equipped to handle emergency cases. The hospital specializes in emergency medicine, dentistry, neurology, oncology, radiology & diagnostic imaging, and surgery. The facility is 16,000 square feet and is equipped with an on-site MRI and CT scanner, arthroscopy, ultrasound, and a fully equipped intensive care unit. ER Clinicians will have the opportunity for primary surgical case management, covering common ER surgeries.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree.
- Holding a valid state veterinary license.
- Unwavering commitment to emergency care.
- Self-directed, committed ongoing learner.
- Driven to continuously improve and stay up to date with industry developments.

Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding veterinary care with a compassionate heart.
- Handle emergency cases.
- Provide compassionate care to patients during their most vulnerable moments.
- Deliver compassionate and comprehensive care, available 24/7.
- Specialize in emergency medicine, dentistry, neurology, oncology, radiology & diagnostic imaging, and surgery.
- Perform primary surgical case management, covering common ER surgeries such as enterotomies, splenectomies, C-sections, GDV, pyometra, and more.
