About The Position
287 Fire, a division of Super Vacuum Manufacturing, is searching for an Emergency Vehicle Technician/Heavy Truck Mechanic in Haltom City, Texas. 287 Fire is the leading Rosenbauer dealer for the states of Texas and Oklahoma. This role supports the dedicated staff who build equipment that saves lives.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a diesel or heavy equipment maintenance shop
- Must be able to lift 70+ pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Ability to travel
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, and background check
- Work Authorization: United States (Required)
Nice To Haves
- EVT experience and/or Heavy Truck certifications
- ASE certifications preferred
- Will consider aircraft A&P or automotive experience with licenses/certs/military experience
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, water pumps & valves, transfer cases, suspension components, air brake systems, differentials, motors, heating/air conditioning systems, instruments & gauges, and other fire truck systems or components
- Other duties as assigned
