About The Position
Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician (Fire Truck) in Palm Springs, CA. This position involves performing preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus. The role requires technicians to own a basic set of hand tools and a wheeled toolbox. The company offers competitive hourly pay, paid weekly, with a range of $32.00-$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications. The shift is Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Requirements
- EVT Certification required (Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification)
- 2+ years’ experience working on Fire trucks and/or ambulances
- Must have the ability to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus.
- Technicians must own basic set of hand tools and wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use.
- Must have acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check.
Nice To Haves
- ASE or OEM Certifications highly desirable
- Trade School Certificates a plus
- Class B CDL, DOT Med Card preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus.
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance.
- Advance technical training and certification in emergency vehicle repair.
