About The Position

Emergency Technician at Providence Milwaukie Hospital is a 0.9 FTE full time position working during weekdays and weekends on a night shift. Works closely with all members of the emergency team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Assists the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by providing the appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment. Maintains proper sterile technique during the procedure. Requirements

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Annually upon hire.
  • 1 year relevant experience.
  • Patient care or clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience acquired during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or previous EMT, Paramedic, Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate upon hire.
