About The Position

Emergency Technicians work closely with RNs and the rest of the emergency team to provide high-quality patient care and a calming, confident, and caring presence in the potentially high-stress and fast-paced emergency department. This is a full-time position in the Emergency Department at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL, working nights from 7p-7a. The role is part of Nursing Support and involves 36 scheduled weekly hours. Compensation is aligned with experience, with shift differentials on top of the base rate.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician.
• EMT or previous ED experience.
• Eligible to work as a Nursing Assistant in the hospital and/or home health care agency as listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry or Emergency Medical Technician certified in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required
