About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented individual to join us as an Emergency Services technicians! (also known as: CNA, Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Care Tech). The 48-bed Emergency Department and tertiary referral center provide care for various acuities, conditions and age ranges. Nursing ratios vary based on care area and acuity of patients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant program, currently enrolled as a student pursuing a nursing degree, or experience in direct patient care required.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start date.
- Six months’ experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program.
Nice To Haves
- Direct patient care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

- Provide care for various acuities, conditions and age ranges in a 48-bed Emergency Department and tertiary referral center.
