The Tŝilhqot’in National Government is based in Williams Lake, British Columbia serving six communities, including ʔEsdilagh, Tl'etinqox, Tl'esqox, Tŝideldel, Xeni Gwet'in, and Yuneŝit'in. The Tŝilhqot’in National Government’s mission is to support and empower Tŝilhqot’in peoples to exercise their rights to self-determination within their traditional territories in ways which reflect Tŝilhqot’in philosophy, values, experience and culture. The Emergency Services Manager will work with the six communities of the Tŝilhqot’in Nation to provide community-based emergency management guidance, support and assistance through addressing the following four areas: Mitigation and Prevention: Involves activities which reduce or eliminate the effects of an emergency or disaster. Preparedness: Actions taken prior to an emergency or disaster to ensure an effective response. Response: Involves actions taken to respond to an emergency with the appropriate experience and qualifications. Recovery: Includes the activities required to return the community to its pre-emergency state.
