About The Position
The Emergency Services Care Assistant - Unit Secretary - Pediatrics Acute Care Center role involves performing basic nursing care or secretary work on the assigned nursing unit during the same shift, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position requires demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to all patients served. The assistant will also help coordinate communication and resources between the care team, physicians, patients, and family members.
Requirements
- High school diploma required or 5 years’ experience as a CNA/PCT with 3 years’ minimum experience in an acute care setting.
- Completion of an Accredited Certified Nursing Assistance course, EMT or paramedics training course, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation required.
- Current CPR certification from America Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Data entry or order entry experience on a computer preferred.
Responsibilities
