About The Position

To provide quality patient care by assisting the physician and/or registered nurse. This role involves routine decision-making, such as determining when to report patient concerns, questions, abnormal tests/vital signs to the RN and determining appropriate supplies necessary to maintain patient care. The position requires the ability to provide care to a wide range of age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Recognizing the importance of diversity and cultural beliefs is essential when delivering care to the diverse populations served.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• CNA, EMT-B or equivalent certification, or experience required.
• BLS required within 3 months of hire.
• NVCI or equivalent class as determined to be required by the facility.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of normal vital signs.
• Knowledge of referral resources.
• Knowledge of triage and emergency abuse reporting.
• Organization skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Written communication skills.
• Verbal communication skills.
