About The Position
The Emergency Room Technician assists with patient care based on individual patient needs, within the scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This PRN position is based in the Emergency Department in Monticello, Illinois. Hours are as needed, with 8–12-hour shifts scheduled from 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–10:30 p.m. Rotating weekend and holiday coverage is required. The hourly rate is $18.20–$22.75, with compensation dependent on experience. A $3.00 second-shift differential and potential bonus opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Current BLS Certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate preferred.
- One year of experience in an acute hospital setting or in an ambulance preferred.
- Current EMT-B, CNA, CMA, or active nursing student preferred.
- Basic arrhythmia course; may be obtained within six months of hire.
