About The Position
The Emergency Room Tech assists with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN. The role includes patient-care and phlebotomy duties, as well as clerical and courier tasks, stocking, transporting, and performing EKGs. The position is part-time and scheduled for nights at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
Requirements
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification upon hire.
- CPI certification within 6 months.
- Florida EMT License, National EMT License, or CNA License.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Customer service skills.

- Previous experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN.
- Perform assigned clerical and courier duties.
- Stock supplies and transport items or people as assigned.
- Perform EKGs.
- Perform phlebotomy and specific patient-care duties.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
- Perform other assigned departmental or facility-based duties.
