About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and trauma management. The Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 with physicians and specialists, including hospitalists and intensivists. The unit has 36 acute and 54 subacute beds, with 6 trauma bays. Travelers are not assigned to trauma bays. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Common diagnoses include trauma, burns, and pediatric cases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in ER, but candidates with at least 6 months of trauma level 1 experience may be considered.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Nice To Haves

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to emergency and trauma patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips monitors.
• Participate in ongoing education and training, including passing necessary skill assessments during orientation.
