About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a high-performing healthcare team in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required).
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and float between locations as needed.

  • Previous experience in a trauma center or high-volume emergency department.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and state regulations.
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes.
  • Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Participate in unit-based performance improvement initiatives and peer review processes.
  • Support continuity of care and provide clinical guidance across departments as needed.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Float to other facilities within the healthcare system as required.
