About The Position
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages presenting with diverse conditions, ranging from non-critical health concerns to acute trauma, critical cardiac events, and urgent behavioral health crises. Working in a fast-paced environment, this role serves both walk-in patients and emergency transport arrivals using standardized trauma and critical care protocols.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon submission.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Healthcare Provider Level
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Nice To Haves
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and stabilize adult and pediatric patients arriving via walk-in or emergency transport.
- Administer specialized interventions for critical cardiac, trauma, medical, and pediatric emergencies.
- Deliver safe, compassionate care for patients experiencing emergent and urgent mental health conditions.
- Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, mid-level providers, and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
