About The Position

This role requires clinical competence across multiple critical specialties—Emergency, ICU, and Med-Surg/Pediatrics—to provide dynamic coverage based on daily patient care needs. The position involves reporting daily to the House Supervisor for placement based on facility priority, requiring high flexibility and adaptability. Nurses will float to departments in which they are qualified to work, with duties ranging from full patient loads in primary specialties to task-oriented support. The schedule includes 8-hour or 12-hour Day/Night shifts, with flexibility required for varied shifts, weekends, and holidays. Orientation begins on Mondays only, and strict compliance timelines apply, with missed deadlines delaying start dates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of nursing experience.
• Documented experience in Emergency Department (ER).
• Documented experience in Medical-Surgical / Pediatrics.
• Documented experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to adjust assignments daily and support team members across units.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association).
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Moderate Conscious Sedation certification (may be completed during onboarding).

Responsibilities

• Provide dynamic coverage across Emergency, ICU, and Med-Surg/Pediatrics based on daily patient care needs.
• Report daily to the House Supervisor for placement based on facility priority.
• Float to departments in which you are qualified to work.
• Perform duties ranging from full patient loads in primary specialties to task-oriented support (e.g., answering call lights, phones, unit assistance).
• Work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
