About The Position

Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics (GMHC) is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Room/Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and compassionate night-shift team. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced RN, this position offers an excellent opportunity to build and expand your nursing skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals while caring for a diverse patient population in both the Emergency Room and Med-Surg setting. New nurses will benefit from mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities for continued professional growth. This is a full-time night-shift position with rotating weekend and holiday coverage, including every 12th weekend. This position is eligible for GMHC's Jump Start Program, providing financial support to qualifying nursing students as they complete their education and prepare to begin their careers at GMHC.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
Current RN license with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for Iowa licensure
Strong communication, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
