About The Position
The ER Technician, under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, participates in the delivery of patient care within the critical care environment. This position includes, but is not limited to, functioning within the established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department of Garfield Medical Center. Responsibilities include collaboration with the RN for efficient, cost-effective use of time and equipment, providing care to designated patients, and prioritizing based on patient's care requirements as delegated by the RN. The ER Technician interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be State Certified/Licensed Emergency Medical Tech.
- Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, (AHA) certificates, AB508 upon hire and maintain current.
- Dysrhythmia course upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience in ED or Critical Care preferred.
