Emergency Room (ER) Tech Day Per Diem
About The Position
The Emergency Room (ER) Technician is responsible for administering patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. The ER Technician follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. This role performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to ensure and maintain smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
- Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
