About The Position

Emory Healthcare (EHC) is seeking a capable Emergency Room Float Tech for their internal travel team. This flexible program allows team members to tailor their work/life balance. The Float Tech will perform a variety of clinical tasks to facilitate patient care by assisting nursing and physician staff. This includes IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, performing and documenting vital signs, notifying the triage nurse or physician of critical patients, and communicating with waiting room patients. The role also involves conducting needs analysis for supplies based on ED volume, monitoring stock to ensure par levels are maintained, accurately entering physician orders into the computer, and answering phones. Other duties as required.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
1-year minimum Previous experience.
Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic, AHA CPR, and AHA ACLS if Paramedic.

Responsibilities
