The Emergency Response Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance for fire protection and prevention at the St. Rose and Avondale terminals as well as ensuring the emergency response team and response equipment are in a ready state. This role involves responding to various emergencies including chemical handling, PPE issues, general terminal emergency management, firefighting, spills, and rescues. The supervisor also addresses employee concerns related to life safety, maintains emergency equipment, conducts training and drills, and assists with confined space entries. A key aspect of the role is maintaining a working knowledge of applicable OSHA, NFPA, and EPA regulations. The position reports to the LA Chief of Emergency Response for daily duties and supervises the facility ERT and maintains fire protection in the Chief's absence.
