The role involves arriving on scene, performing a scene size-up, and relaying information to the central dispatch center and on-duty supervisor. Responsibilities include performing rescue procedures (vehicle, machinery, high/low angle), fire suppression, hazardous material spill containment, responding to medical emergencies, initiating patient assessment and stabilization, preparing and transporting patients, administering treatments, and performing triage during mass casualty incidents. The position also includes standard security duties such as unlocking doors, providing escorts, patrolling buildings and parking lots, and reporting irregularities. The role requires preparing logs and reports as assigned.
