About The Position

As an Emergency Response Officer at Allied Universal®, you will be responsible for maintaining a high visibility uniformed presence and responding to a variety of emergency situations. This role involves providing assistance during acts of violence, crisis, and other incidents, including offering first aid, conducting evacuations, and engaging threatening individuals.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret SCI with a CI Poly Clearance.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of high-level security experience on Department of Defense site or similar in military.
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience as an Emergency Response Officer.
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, the ability to accurately handle and shoot a weapon.
  • The ability to carry or move another individual, including one who may be injured.
  • Must complete a psychological evaluation with a suitable recommendation.
  • Post offer, must achieve a handgun score of a minimum of 250 or above on the Federal Law Enforcement Training Course (FLETC).
  • Post offer, must qualify with the M4 Carbine, 9mm pistol, during ERT training.
  • Post offer, must complete Law Enforcement Responder (LER) medical training and certification.
  • Post offer, must complete the 3-week SPO (Security Protective Officer) academy.
  • Post offer, must complete the 4-week ERT (Emergency Response Team) academy.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a physical fitness requirement of: Run 1.5 miles in 13.5 minutes or less.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a physical fitness requirement of: Complete at least 31 sit-ups in 1 minute.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a physical fitness requirement of: Complete at least 25 push-ups in 1 minute.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a physical fitness requirement of: Complete a 50-meter (185 lbs.) dummy drag in 62 seconds or less.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a physical fitness requirement of: Perform a minimum of 4 pull-ups consecutively.
  • Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and respond to emergencies including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, weapons incidents, explosive incidents, natural disasters, and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and/or property using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
  • Conduct surveillance operations.
  • Assist in emergencies by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures.
  • Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocol for reporting injuries.
  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive information.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
  • Respond to direction and/or orders from supervisory personnel, especially in the context of an active shooter, assault, or other similar situation.
  • Move from location to location at appropriate speeds.
  • Physically engage with a person who is threatening others.
