About The Position
The Emergency Preparedness & Safety Coordinator provides operational support to both the Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety teams. Typical work includes entering, tracking, and pulling data from various sources; develop and publish multiple reports; policy research; code research; project coordination and management for department initiatives; and management of the contract review and evaluation process for the team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- 1 year of experience working in a safety, emergency management, project management or healthcare setting required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams required
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and review of policies and procedures, leads and/or contributes to department quality initiatives and programs, and manages updates and training for the organization Executive On Call program and schedule.
- This position requires technical skills, organization, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and privileged information.
- The nature of work may require travel and some non-standard work times to support CBU in evaluation of their local needs.
