Fort Bend County is seeking an Emergency Planning Coordinator, a grant-funded position within Health & Human Services, focusing on Public Health Emergency Preparedness & Response. This role is crucial for developing emergency response plans and managing the logistical distribution of mass prophylaxis, such as from the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), to residents in anticipation of public health emergencies. The coordinator will also plan and execute training exercises, coordinate with regional, state, and national agencies, and provide training to local response partners. This position involves participation in drills, evaluations, and deployment during disaster declarations, working closely with the FBC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office and the FBC HHS Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator.
