About The Position

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking Emergency Physicians who are passionate about practicing the full spectrum of emergency medicine in a high-volume, academically engaged community hospital. Successful candidates will join a collaborative team and participate in a balanced schedule that includes day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. As a member of TAHSN, HRH provides placements for medical learners at all levels. The successful candidate will have a recognized interest in education initiatives, including the teaching, supervision and mentoring of medical learners. Applicants must have or be eligible for a faculty appointment in the appropriate clinical department at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

Requirements

• Certification in Emergency Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada or hold a fellowship in Emergency Medicine from the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• License to practice and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Qualified medical practitioner and a member of, or eligible for membership, with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario
• Relevant certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
• Eligible for a faculty appointment in the appropriate clinical department at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto
