About The Position

Massachusetts Eye and Ear (MEE), in partnership with the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mass General Brigham (MGB), is seeking ABEM-certified or eligible Emergency Physicians to join its growing team. Physicians independently evaluate and manage a broad range of emergency presentations, with immediate access to ENT and Ophthalmology consultation for more complicated cases. They collaborate closely with the MEE Medical Director for Emergency Services and work in a multidisciplinary setting alongside specialists in Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. The position offers a high-acuity, academically rich, team-oriented environment with strong specialty collaboration. MEE is a nationally renowned specialty hospital and a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Its Emergency Department has 10 rooms, including 4 bay spaces, 24/7 in-house ENT and Ophthalmology coverage, an EPIC electronic medical record, and consistently high patient satisfaction. Shifts are 9 hours, including 1 hour of overlap. A 1.0 FTE requirement includes 4 weekend shifts and 2 overnight shifts per month. The role is listed as per diem, with a rotating shift and onsite work location.

Requirements

ABEM certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

Independently evaluate and manage a broad spectrum of emergency presentations.
Collaborate with the MEE Medical Director for Emergency Services.
Work with ENT and Ophthalmology specialists and obtain immediate specialty consultation for complicated cases.
