Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians in Fremont, CA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This no-call, no-nights Emergency Medicine Physician job offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape. It is a refreshing alternative to traditional Emergency Medicine, offering no overnight shifts, no weekends, no holidays, and no pagers. This is a true Monday–Friday daytime physician job, allowing for a regular sleep schedule and more family time. The role allows physicians to keep using their procedural skills, such as surgical debridement and bedside procedures, in a calmer clinical setting away from crowded waiting rooms, boarding patients, and the safety concerns of the modern ED. Physicians will follow patients through healing, build lasting relationships, and have clinical autonomy to direct patient outcomes based on clinical expertise, not throughput metrics, satisfaction scores, or a staffing company. The company utilizes custom software designed to reduce administrative time.

Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
Open Background: We welcome Emergency Medicine physicians, as well as surgeons of all backgrounds and Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
