About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians in Nashville, TN to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This is a no-call, no-nights Emergency Medicine Physician job that offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape. This role offers a refreshing alternative to traditional Emergency Medicine, with no overnight shifts, no weekends, no holidays, and no pagers. It is a Monday-Friday daytime physician job, allowing for a regular sleep schedule and more family time. The position allows physicians to continue using their procedural skills, such as surgical debridement and bedside procedures, in a calmer clinical setting away from crowded waiting rooms and safety concerns of the modern ED. Physicians can follow patients through healing and build lasting relationships. The role offers clinical autonomy, allowing physicians to direct patient outcomes based on their clinical expertise, not throughput metrics, satisfaction scores, or a staffing company. Custom software is designed to reduce administrative time.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Emergency Medicine physicians, as well as surgeons of all backgrounds and Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
• No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Use the latest advancements in wound healing to change lives in communities across Nashville, TN
• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
