About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians in Brentwood, TN to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a high-impact career without the corporate red tape, providing an alternative to traditional Emergency Medicine shift work. Physicians can expect a no-call, no-nights, Monday-Friday daytime schedule, allowing for a regular sleep schedule and more family time. The position emphasizes the use of procedural skills, offers a calmer clinical setting compared to the ED, and allows physicians to follow patients through their healing process. Clinical autonomy is a key feature, with decisions based on clinical expertise rather than throughput metrics. The company also utilizes custom software designed to reduce administrative time.

Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
Open Background: We welcome Emergency Medicine physicians, as well as surgeons of all backgrounds and Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians.
No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
