About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Medford, WI. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency medical care in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Care (UC) settings. The physician will manage an average daily volume of 40-60 patients in a Level IV trauma center. This is a clinical-only role with dual coverage in the ED and UC. The position requires 1-2 shifts per month, with coverage needed ASAP and ongoing. The agency will cover travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- WI license or willingness to obtain.
- BLS certification.
- ATLS certification.
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care settings.
- Manage approximately 40-60 patients per day in a Level IV trauma center with dual provider coverage.
- Collaborate with telecardiology and telestroke services for 24/7 consultation.
- Supervise and coordinate with Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) during scheduled shifts.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital protocols and Epic EMR system.
