About The Position
The Staff Pad is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a PRN opportunity at a community-focused hospital in Red Bud, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for flexibility, strong hourly compensation, and a collaborative, well-supported Emergency Department environment. The Emergency Department has 5 beds and sees a manageable volume of 17-23 patients per day. The department is accredited for Chest Pain and Acute Stroke readiness and has a strong referral network with access to subspecialty support. The practice emphasizes a collaborative and patient-focused care environment.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- W-2 or 1099 payment options available.
- Ability to work flexible shifts within a 24-hour shift model (7 AM – 7 AM).
- Single physician coverage per shift.

- Familiarity with Medhost EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care in a 5-bed Emergency Department.
- Manage an average daily patient volume of 17-23 patients.
- Collaborate with a team of 5 employed Emergency Medicine physicians and supportive clinical staff.
- Utilize the Medhost EMR system.
- Ensure high-quality care standards are met.
- Work within a physician-led coverage model.
