About The Position

Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join a stable, high-functioning team of 12 EM physicians and 3 APPs. This Level III Trauma facility handles 35,000 annual visits and serves as the primary critical care hub for a large region. The ED prioritizes collaboration and physician longevity through flexible scheduling. The practice offers a desirable schedule of 15 eight-hour shifts per month, with an average of 1.5 to 2.0 patients per hour. There is no administrative call, and APP support is available daily. A 10-bed ICU is supported by dedicated Hospitalists, Intensivists, and Pulm/CC specialists.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• MD or DO degree.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Oregon.
• Ability to work 15 eight-hour shifts per month.
• Experience with high-volume EDs.
• Willingness to work various shifts including night shifts.
• Open to 2026 and 2027 graduates.
• Visa support available (J1/H1B).

• Experience in a Level III Trauma facility.
• Experience in a rural or community hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care in a Level III Trauma facility.
• Manage an average of 1.5 to 2.0 patients per hour.
• Collaborate with a team of 12 EM physicians and 3 APPs.
• Work 15 eight-hour shifts per month.
• Utilize APP support for patient flow.
• Liaise with ICU specialists, Hospitalists, Intensivists, and Pulm/CC specialists.
